Steingarten

Stiengarten lookout is one of the lesser known places in the Barossa. The wide vista looking north and south from the viewing platforms creates a great scene. Geographically Steingarten is situated on top of the Barossa Valley ranges between Lyndoch and Roland Flat and can be accessed from Trial Hill Road (just past Parsons lookout).

Its usually a very quiet place and is great for couples and families wanting to relax with a world class view. A nice sunset on a warm summer night is spectacular. I am assuming the viewing platforms and stone walls were constructed by Jacobs Creek and occasionally there will be corporate clients up on the hill enjoying the view.

The Steingarten Vineyard is used to create a Jacobs Creek super premium riesling and is densely planted high up on this rocky slope of the Barossa ranges.

A walking trail passes along the road, and info is available on the link below.
